Kenneth Warren Stover of Spring, TX, age 97, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 6, 2022. He was born on October 2, 1924 in Duck Creek, KS , the son of John and Flora Stover. He was raised on a farm near Fredonia, KS and graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in mechanical engineering. From 1944-1946 he served in the United States Navy. Kenneth married Pauline Maddux on August 1, 1952, in Eldorado, KS. His career included 27 years with Cities Service Oil Company working as a petroleum engineer in Kansas, New Mexico, and Texas. He also worked for W. R. Grace Petroleum in Oklahoma City and later for the State of Oklahoma as an environmental engineer. He served for many years in his local church as a board member, Sunday School teacher and usher.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Don Stover and John Stover. His survivors include his wife of 69 years, Pauline Stover, and his two daughters and son-in-laws, Lisa and Tim Bell of Little Rock, AR and Marla and Rick Sifers of Spring, TX, his 5 grandchildren, Daniel (and Whitney) Bell of Little Rock, AR, Matthew (and Christa) Bell of Benton, AR, Grant (and Chelsea) Sifers of Spring, TX, Nathan (and Jennifer) Sifers of Lorena, TX, Morgan Sifers of Spring, TX, his 9 great-grandchildren and his sister, Sharon White of Raymondville, TX.
Kenneth is known and loved by his family and friends as a kind, compassionate, tender-hearted gentleman. We will miss him greatly, we rejoice in his homegoing and we look forward to seeing him again.
A graveside service is planned for Monday, March 14, 2022, 9:45 am at Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Filter of Hope. Giving families clean water for 10 yrs.
