Linda Carol Gibson, 76, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 13 ^th , 2021. She was born in Houston, Texas, a daughter of a long line of Texans dating back to the 1830s. Born on December 9, 1944, the youngest child to Samuel W. Gilbert and Hazel E. Gilbert (Mahaffey), Linda is preceded in death by her parents and brother Robert (Bobby) W. Gilbert. She leaves behind her sister, Judy G. Beall, sister-in-law Marie Gilbert, her three children, Elizabeth, Ben, and Matt Gibson and daughter-in-law Cate Gibson, as well as grandchildren Hazel, Curtis, Cora, and Forrest Gibson.

Linda lovingly and graciously served as mother to her children and also served those around her through her membership at Champion Forest Baptist Church. Starting in 1981, she impacted those at church through her service in the Children's choir, Adult choir, and many church productions, and continued active participation through 2016. She also served on the building committee. Linda's love and expertise of the gift of music continues through her children and grandchildren and Linda used that gift of music to further the Kingdom of Jesus Christ.
