Linda Fay (Fairman) Jenkins affectionately known as "Nanna", 56, passed away at home in Houston, Texas on Friday, October 16, 2020. She was surrounded by her six grandchildren, two daughters, son-in-law, and her husband of 32 years.

Linda was born December 13, 1963 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Wilbert and Ollie Fairman. She was the only child but had no shortage of friends. She was a daddy's girl until his passing and loved recalling adventures she shared with him. Linda met her husband in September 1979, and it was love at first sight.  She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1981 and went on to attend Southern University A&M College. Linda found most joy in being a homemaker.

Linda was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She always adored her family and was happiest surrounded by them. She often hosted large Sunday family dinners where her family would savor the likes of shrimp etouffee, fried catfish, and mustard greens.

She enjoyed travelling, outdoors, and fishing. On any given weekend you could find her reeling in a large catfish on the Mississippi River or travelling the country roads of Louisiana. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents Wilbert and Ollie Fairman, and stepfather Leroy Hills Jr. She leaves behind her husband James Jenkins; three daughters and two son – in-laws Amanda F. Jenkins-Hill (Nathaniel Sr.) , L. Jenkins-Williams (Zebian) , and Holly Igidi, six grandchildren Nathaniel Jr., Rachel, Kaleigh, Alanna, Amelia, and Zaria, close friend Gwendolyn Simon, and her many sisters & brothers in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Linda lived a life of love, laughter, and faith, and cherished every moment with her family.

An intimate family memorial is planned upon cremation of her remains.
