November 9, 1944 – October 2, 2021
Linda Medrano, 76, passed away on Saturday, October 2nd, 2021 in her home in Houston, TX. She was the wife of Lupe Medrano. Lupe and Linda were married on February 14, 1983; celebrating 38 years of marriage. Born in Corpus Christi, Texas, Linda was the daughter of Everett and Jean Thompson.
As a child, she had the privilege of living in multiple regions including
Canada, Venezuela and Texas where her parents both worked in the oil industry.
The family eventually moved to southern California where she graduated from
Baldwin Park High School in 1963 before attending college at Mt SAC. Linda
worked for Texaco, Inc. for more than 35 years as an Executive Secretary,
beginning her career initially in the Los Angeles office before transferring to
Houston, Texas in 1983.
Linda belonged to Foundry United Methodist
Church for many years where she
sang in the choir. She loved the Lord! Linda enjoyed spending time with her
friends and family. She was a caring and loving mother and a beloved friend. She
will be dearly missed.
Linda is survived by her husband Lupe, along with her three children Kevin
Thompson, Salana Yarger (married to Chris Yarger), Sam Sharif (married to Heather
Sharif), 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
The celebration of her life will be held at Foundry United Methodist Church located
at 8350 Jones Rd, Houston TX 77065 on Thursday, October 7th, 2021. Visitation
begins at 10am and service at 11am.
