My heart is broken to share that my beautiful sister. Lisa Ruth Lara passed away on February 27th 2025. Born on September 15th 1966, Lisa was always the beautiful shining light in our family. We grew up side by side, facing life's challenges and joys together. No matter what life threw at us, the love we had for each other was always there. Both she and our mom graduated nursing school in 1985, where they earned a Registered Medical Assistant Certificate. Lisa also went back to school in 2014 - 2016 to become certified as a Xray Technician. Her love and talent for the medical field and the dedication she had for her patients was inspiring. No matter how sick she was, she still went to work to give it her all.
Lisa was the definition of a hard worker, she fought until the very end. I want Lisa to be remembered as that beautiful, light brown eyed, funny, sometimes mean, loud and life the party woman. Lisa lived life the way she wanted and had no regrets and we
love her for that.

She is survived by her dedicated husband, Louis Rodriguez Jr, her two sons, Charles and Sean Hernandez and her fur grandbabies, Rhea, Thor, Beefcake and Brutus.
She is also survived by her sister Dolores Lara and Dolores's husband, Benny Colunga and her neices and nephew, Rita, Emmalee and Benjamin Colunga. She is also survived by her only surviving Aunt, Mary Rodriguez. Along with countless cousins, family and friends.

A service to dedicate her life will be held at Claire Brother Funeral Home

March 7th 2025
5to 9 pm with a service starting at 7pm to
8pm.
