Margaret Graham Hall, 83 passed away peacefully on November 25, 2021. Margaret was born
in Gateshead, England to Thomas W. Graham and Margaret (Daisy) Parkinson and met the love
of her life, Robert (Rob) William Hall in her hometown. They were married on October 4, 1958
and had a wonderful marriage of 63 years together.
After the birth of their first son, Margaret and Rob began a global adventure. Their other two
children were born in Zambia, where they lived for 6 years. They then immigrated to Canada,
where they resided for 11, and had brief stints in Trinidad and Kuwait before settling in Borger
(Texas) where Rob finished his career. They retired to Katy in 2002 in a Cinco Ranch home that
Margaret took great care in finding and decorating.
Margaret was a gregarious person who made many close friendships that she maintained over
decades and great distances. The Christmas cards she and Rob received every year filled an
entire wall.
Margaret always had a passion for the interior design and decoration of homes. After her
children were grown, she turned this interest--and her natural ease at conversing with people-
into a successful career as a real estate agent.
She was also a meticulous homemaker. Wherever they lived, Margaret always took great care to
make sure the house was a home. It was always a pleasure to be in her homes- of which she
had many over her lifetime--because they always felt so warm and clean.
Her own physical appearance was important to Margaret. She dressed in a classic style and took
great care in researching and coordinating her outfits, shoes, jewelry and make up.
Family was most important to Margaret, and she took great pride in her family and their
accomplishments. She especially loved visits with the grandchildren. Her extended family in
Belgium, France and England were also near to her heart.
At Sunrise Assistant Living, which has been Margaret's home for several years, the caregivers
describe her as being a sweet and loving patient. She would always say Thank You and tell them
they were kind and beautiful.
Margaret is survived by her son, Robert Graham Hall, of Menlo Park, CA; daughter, Lianne
Jelson, of Katy; and grandchildren, Andrew Robert Jelson, Nicholas Alexander Jelson, Lauren
Nicole Hall, and Graham Daniel Hall. She was preceded in her death by her parents, her son
David William Hall, and her husband Robert William Hall
Family and friends are invited to attend Margaret's celebration of life at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday,
December 18 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church; 5373 Franz Road, Katy, Texas 77493
