Margie Kay Langford passed after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer on December 3, 2023.

Born in Dallas Texas on September 27, 1946 to parents Georg Ewing Helms Jr. And
Lynn Adaire Risien (Maiden), she lived in Corpus Christi/Robstown and Houston throughout her life. She is survived by her son Spencer Langford, and cousins Richard, Mark, and Harvey Risien.

Margie, who was a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, was a graduate of W.B. Ray High School in Corpus Christi in 1964. She was an avid barrel racer in the South Texas Rodeo circuit from 1960 to 1965. Later in her life, Margie worked in property management and was a devoted mother and friend. A true animal lover, she had multiple beloved pets including a pig named Truffles. She had a quick wit and good sense of humour, loved taking pictures and making memories with her family and friends, and hosted several exchange students as well.
