On Wednesday evening February 24th, 2021, God called Maria Leusita (Mary Lou) Ross home. She accepted his son, Jesus Christ as her personal savior on June 3rd, 1968, and is with him in paradise.
She was born on April 1st, 1948, to Rebecca and Ben Brito in Toas, New Mexico. The family them moved to Leadville, Colorado that same year where she stayed until graduation from High School, and married her high school sweetheart, Landon Ross.
She spent some time in high school working at St. Vincent Hospital as a Dietician's Assistant and upon moving to Aurora, Colorado in 1979. She became a Cosmetologist with JCPenny's Co. for 38 years, a job that she loved.
She and Landon travelled quite extensively, taking trips to much of Eastern and Western Europe, Great Britain, Morocco, Australia, and New Zealand, and she had a special love for Ireland.
She was blessed to have traveled to 48 of our states including Hawaii and many other places as well. But her biggest passion was her family, especially son Daryl and grandchildren Chance and Alexus Ross. All were able to live together until her passing. She lived in Splendora Texas at the time of her death.
She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Landon Ross; Son Daryl Ross (Dawn); grandson Chance Ross; granddaughter Alexus Ross; step grandson Zach Redford; brothers Paul Brito (Diane) and Earl Brito (Mary Jo); and sister Irma Jimenzo (Pete); nephews and nieces, and many lifelong friends.
A funeral service and celebration of life will be held at Woodland Baptist Church 24530 Fm 2090 Road, Splendora Texas, 77372 at 10:00 a.m. on March 9th, 2021.
The service will be conducted by the churches Pastor Wyatt Miracle.
