IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marie
Celestain
October 6, 1932 – December 7, 2022
Life's Journey
When Anne Marie Narcisse Celestain transitioned peacefully from Earth to Heaven on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, all who knew and loved her felt her passing a significant loss. Affectionately known as Mom, Anne Eva, Annie, and Cousin Anne, we can all agree she was the epitome of kindness, grace, and love. Born on October 6, 1939, to Elva "Bae" Hypolite Narcisse and Joseph "Pacout" Narcisse (both deceased) at the Saint James establishment, she has been a faithful follower of her Christian Catholic faith and was a member of several organizations. She was a member of Saint Francis Catholic Church, Saint Philip Neri Catholic Church, and currently, Saint Laurence Catholic Church in Sugarland, TX. She met and married Wellon Celestain in 1953 and to this union, was blessed with one son, Kevin Anthony Celestain. She spoke often of her upbringing and work ethics in which she proudly demonstrated determination and achieve professional success in the medical field as a private duty nurse. Her career and love for people, (especially family), motivated her to seek and help all in need. A sharp dresser, a world-class traveler, and an interior decorator encompassed her personality as a loving wife, a devoted mother, a caring sister, a compassionate aunt and cousin, and a dear niece, friend, and trusted neighbor. Her most cherished past-time was enjoying a cup coffee and visiting with family and friends. Education was very dear and near to her heart. She advocated relentlessly to all who could and would take advantage of this opportunity.
As we celebrate her life today, let us hold close to our hearts that we are celebrating her eternal inheritance as promised to her by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She leaves to mourn her precious memory son, Kevin Anthony Celestain, of Sugarland, TX., brother, Weldon (Georgia) Narcisse of Houston, TX., sisters, Eula Mae (Warronce) Jones, of Saint Martinville, LA., and Loucinda Hurd of Missouri City, TX. In addition, she also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, friends, and neighbors. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Wellon Celestain, brothers Ivan, Dennis, and Delton Narcisse, and sisters, Anna Mae Narcisse Gedward, and Rose Mary Narcisse. Grant them eternal rest O' Lord and may the perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and all the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of Christ, rest in peace. AMEN!
