Mildred Zemp Isbell, our beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend passed peacefully surrounded by family on July 1, 2021.
Mildred was born in Ness City, KS on December 27, 1930, the daughter of Edward and Sadie Zemp. She graduated Cedar Vale High School class of 1948. She had three Daughters Cheryl, Beverly, and Hazel. Later in life she met and married Frank Isbell on March 26, 1991, after 13 years of being together. Mildred devoted her career and her life to the Winfield State Hospital as a Licensed Mental Health Technician. The patients brought her so much joy and she loved her job and co-workers dearly.
Mildred was a loving person that never forgot a birthday, anniversary, or special holiday. She was known for her beautiful letters and cards to family and friends. She loved to receive them as well and enjoyed going through the daily mail to catch up on the current news.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband Frank, Daughters Hazel Myree Call, and Cheryl Ann Floyd, parents Edward and Sadie Zemp, brothers Charlie and Bud Zemp, sister Anna Wilkinson, and son-in-law John Floyd.
Mildred is survived by Bill Call, her daughter Beverly Webb, son-in-law Gregg, grandson Eric Webb and wife Marilyn, great grandson Billy Dazey, grand-daughter Lisa Linnebur and husband Tom, great grand-daughters Haylie and Shayne Linnebur, grand-daughter Samantha Brown and husband Judson, great grand-daughters Grace and Georgia Brown, great grandson Judson Brown III, sister-in-law Nadine Zemp, special nephews and nieces Ollie and Arlene Cromwell, Rob and Marilyn Roberts, Marvin and Carline Wilkinson, Dwight and Sally Zemp, Dean and Ann Zemp, and other loved relatives.
Mildred has been cremated and will be buried by her beloved Frank at Highland Cemetery in Winfield, KS, in a private graveside service.
