Mildred Lea Searcy, born to Manuel Elroy and Hattie Mable Whitehead in Liberty, Texas on November 10, 1936, passed away on February 12, 2022. She was an only child but had 10 of her own children. Millie loved her family, and gave that same love to her children's friends throughout the years. She was a nurse for almost 20 years, then turned her eyes to cross-country truck driving. She loved the open roads and getting to travel to 48 states and Canada.

Millie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Michael Searcy, Sr., her children, Bobby Atwood, Rebecca Staggs, and Michael Searcy, Jr. and great-grandchildren Emily and Kaselynn Stowe. She leaves behind her children Hattie Ewart, Bobby's wife Pat (Tweety), Mary Leigh and husband Bob, David Atwood and wife Pat, Johnny Anderson, Tammy McClelland and husband Reginald, Shellie Searcy, and Belinda Cummings. Also her 30 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren.

In her final days, she expressed to anyone within earshot her love of her family. Please know that if she met you, she loved you. She shared memories of living on the Trinity river, of travelling, and of doing things that meant a lot to her. She will be truly missed.
