Murphy Stagg was born on December 30, 1937, to Mr. and Mrs. Leo Stagg Senior in Beaumont, Texas.
He graduated from Hebert High in 1956 then joined the United States Marines active duty from 1956-
1958 and Reserve until 1962. He married Jeralean Wells Stagg in 2017. Murphy Stagg went from labor to
reward on Tuesday, August 9, 2022. He is survived by his wife, Jeralean, two sisters, Ella Mae Landry and
Annie Bell Davis, nieces, nephews, loved ones and friends.
A viewing will be held on August 26, 2022, from 10 a.m.- 11 a.m. with service following immediately at
The Fellowship at Tomball, 7075 FM 1960 West, STE #17, Houston, Texas 77069 (1960 and Cutten Rd, in
the back of the old Walmart Super Center.) Burial will take place at Houston National Cemetery, 10410
Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, Texas 77038 at 1:00 p.m., lineup in lane 1, US Marine Corp to do
military honors.
