Peacefully and surrounded by her family, Nancy LeFebvre passed from this world on June 18, 2023. Born May 21, 1951 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to Charles and Christine Hawkins, she survived a deadly accident that took her mother at age four, but was blessed to grow up with a second loving mother, Bina Hawkins. She attended Cedar Hill High School, and Texas City high school as well as receiving her Bachelor's and Masters degree in psychology from the University of Houston Victoria. She also was an LPC and worked at a tri-county MHMR while establishing a private practice and also serving as the go-to psychologist at Crisis Hotline. She positively impacted many lives. She was foster parent of the year, changing the world for 21 foster children including several sets of siblings. She loved exploring the world; her many travels included nearly every state, as well as the Caribbean, Canada, Alaska, Bermuda, Mexico, Central America and Europe. Above all else she loved her husband, children and grandchildren, cherishing most the get-togethers she created that were held annually over a 25-year period.
She is survived by Jim, her high school sweetheart and husband of 53 years, children James and Jennifer, as well as her five grandchildren Sophia, Noah, Gage, Scarlett and Juliana, and brothers Roger, Paul and Melton. She is gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
A memorial service and celebration of her life will be held at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial in Houston at 9:15 a.m. on June 30th.
In lieu of flowers you can choose to honor her by donating to Houston Hospice,
