Obituary

Norma Jane Watson, 64, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2021, surrounded by loved ones at her home in Houston, Texas. She was born on November 7, 1956, in Yoakum, Texas to Raul and Delia Moreno. Norma is preceded in death by her brother Richard, and her father Raul. She leaves behind her husband Tom; daughter Lauren Pence; sons Andrew and Iain Watson; grandchildren Lillian, Lawson and Londyn Pence; sisters Velma Moreno, Jeannie Wilson and Barbara Phillips; brothers Ronnie and Leonard Moreno; and mother Delia Moreno.

Norma avidly cultivated life. Her adventurous spirit led her to take on new hobbies and took her to far away places, relishing the diversity of the world. She loved to garden and to nurture her children and grandchildren. Her creative spirit manifested in her garden, her painting s, and her home. Full of life and with a big heart, she greeted everyone with a huge smile, a laugh, and often a silly wave. Her positive outlook was infectious and brought light to the lives of everyone she touched. It only took one conversation with Norma to feel as if you were her best friend. She felt her connections with loved ones deeply, always seeking to connect with those she cared for as much as she could. Whether it was in how she took care of herself, helped her family, or fostered her beliefs, Norma always sought to make the world a better place for those that she loved.

When weather and pandemic permit, a graveside service will be held near the family farm in Yoakum, Texas.
