Obituary

Pearl Ray Piercey, age 74, passed away in Shenandoah, TX on Monday, January 13, 2020, after suffering a massive stroke in December.
Ray was born on July 2, 1945, in Unionville, MO to Pearl and Hectorine Piercey (Savoie). He attended Northwestern University, where he studied marine biology. He lived in many different cities across southeast US, including Kurthwood and Natchitochez, LA, Houston, Conroe, and finally settled in Huntsville, TX.
Ray worked as a mechanic for most of his life. In 1980, he opened his own company, Thomas Radiator, and later retired from his work in 2010. Ray was extremely devoted to his wife, Ann. They were married on April 24, 1971, and together they celebrated 48 years of marriage. Throughout those many years, they went to college together, worked together, and shared many interests/passions.
Ray loved to travel and go fishing, and he and Ann traveled the world, doing just that. Ray was the strong and silent type, a man who was kind, fiercely loyal, very spiritual, and one who would generously give of himself to help anyone in need. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Funeral services will be privately held. Condolences can be sent to Graceful Memorial Chapel, http://www.gracefulmemorialchapel.com/obituary/pearl-piercey. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Stroke Association, a Division of the American Heart Association.
