Penny Louise Fuhlman Crist Hoke, 77, of Sealy, Texas, passed away on June 25, 2022. She
was born to parents Harry and Ruby Fuhlman on March 5, 1945 in Muscatine, Iowa.
Penny worked as a Nurse in many different areas but labor and delivery and psychiatry were
her passion. She retired from nursing in 1989 but she never stopped helping others.
She enjoyed quilting, spending time with her children and grandchildren and a nice glass of
champagne.
Penny was married to Maynard Paul Crist in Muscatine, Iowa on August 28, 1965. They had two
daughters, Stephanie Litchauer and Sarah Garcia and later divorced in October of 1982.
Penny then met Dr. Bob Hoke in 1983 while working together and were later married on June
11, 1988 in Missouri City, Texas. Together they have a total of 5 children: Victoria Gallas,
Terrance Hoke, Stephanie Litchauer, Dr. Lisa Waterman, and Sarah Garcia.
Penny is survived by daughter Stephanie Litchauer and her husband Steve Litchauer and their
daughters Emily Wisian and Aubrie Youngblood, daughter Dr. Lisa Waterman and her wife Ellen
and their sons Hoke and Clayton, daughter Sarah Garcia and her husband Brian and their
children Brent, Sofia and Brad, Victoria Gallas and her children Cascade and Eliot, Terrance
Hoke and his wife Nicole and their children Michael and Sam.
She was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Ruby Fuhlman, her siblings Archie Ross,
Patsy Holliday, and Peggy Smalley as well as her husband Dr. Bob Hoke.
