Born on St. Paul's Eastside, a proud Johnson Govie and Air Force veteran, Phil spent his career as a Transportation Officer with the State of Minnesota. Retiring to sunny Florida, from goalie to golf, he spent his golden years enjoying the sunshine in the South with his bride of 58 years.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen, daughter Denise and David Skorka and son Michael and Naomi (Balsimo) Dressler; grandchildren Katie Skorka, Rachel and Jonathan Davis, Dakotah and Dawson Dressler, Jude and Hailey Balsimo, Adam Balsimo-Schnide; two great-grandchildren, the apples of his eye, Della and Dottie Davis; sister Sondra Gozzi and Manny, brother Jeffrey and Patti Halsten, sister-in-law Linda and Gary Mielnicki and brother-in-law Michael Roberts; many nieces, nephews and friends who loved and respected him dearly.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 3 rd at the Arcade-Phalen American Legion, 1129 Arcade Street, St. Paul, MN 55106
We will be hosting a memorial service at the Solana Vintage Preserve in Houston early November. Details will be provided once available.
