Ramona Gwen Barber, 73, passed away peacefully on April 15 ^th , 2021, surrounded by loved ones in Houston, Texas. She was born December 1 ^st , 1947, in Vallejo, California to Louis and Gwendoline Rodrigues. Ramona is preceded in death by her husband, Roland Barber (35 years of marriage), and both of her parents. She leaves behind two children: daughter, Shawn Roberson and husband, James; and son, Shannon Barber; Three grandchildren: Amanda Donaho, husband Cody; Brittani Roberson; and Dylan Roberson; and Two Great-Grandchildren: Payten Goodall; and Avery Donaho.

Ramona cherished every moment spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great children. "Grandma/Nana/G-Ma" had the heart of a child and loved playing along with anything the great grandchildren imagined. Her grandchildren will always fondly remember the times they spent at her house with the most extensive library of Disney movies one could possibly think of; and the best snacks and junk food to go along with them. Ramona had a kind, caring, and compassionate heart. She loved her family immensely and would do anything for them. She absolutely loved that she got to have such close relationships, with not just her grandchildren, but also their children.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 24 ^th , 2021 at 11:00am at the Houston National Cemetery, located at 10410 Veteran's Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to: The American Heart Association, www.heart.org.
