Regina Yvonne Nero, 70, known to those who love her most as "Gina", passed away peacefully on March 1, 2021 in Houston, Texas.

Gina was born December 1, 1950 in Omaha, Nebraska to Fred J. and Leva M. Davis.  She is preceded in death by both parents and her brothers, Fred L. Davis and Michael L. Davis.  Gina attended Omaha Public Schools and graduated from North High School.  She received her undergraduate degree from College of Saint Mary, her Masters Degree in Sociology from University of Nebraska at Omaha and was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.  After working 10 years with Mutual of Omaha, she moved to Houston, Texas where she lent her expertise to Continental Airlines, Chase Bank, & Lone Star College.   Her passion was working with the Schnauzer Rescue of Houston where she adopted her fur-baby Yeager. Her kind, compassionate, giving spirit will be missed by all who knew her.

Gina leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband, Nolan Bruce Nero; son, Matthew S. Howard; sister, Terri L. Connor (Shon); seven grandchildren Michaela, Veronica, Christiana, Xavier, Luke, Peter, & Zipporah; nieces, Terra L. Cason (Glenn) & Christin C. White; as well as a host of other nieces, nephews, family & friends she adored.
