Richard Moseley passed away surrounded by the love of those who knew him best, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, and unwavering generosity.

Born in Midland, Texas, to Joesph “Huck” Moseley and Emma Belle Moseley, Richard later moved with his family to Brownwood, Texas, where he graduated from high school. He continued his education at Pan American College in McAllen, Texas, before relocating to Houston with his wife and young daughter in search of greater opportunities.

In Houston, Richard found not only a career but his true calling. A gifted craftsman, he built a respected career in custom cabinetry, creating beautiful kitchens, bathrooms, and closets that reflected his pride in quality workmanship. He later spent more than 30 years with Parklane Builders, where he earned the respect of coworkers through his leadership, dedication, and exceptional skill.

Richard's greatest craftsmanship, however, was found in the way he lived his life. He was an active member of his AA community, where he generously mentored countless individuals seeking hope and encouragement. He believed wholeheartedly in living "one day at a time," offering guidance, compassion, and understanding to anyone who needed it. His willingness to help others and his quiet strength touched many lives.

Although Richard faced ongoing health challenges, he met each day with remarkable courage, a wonderful sense of humor, and an enduring love of life. His optimism never faded, and he was known for opening his heart to friends and strangers alike, never turning away someone in need. His kindness, wisdom, and steadfast support will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Joesph “Huck” Moseley and Emma Belle Moseley, and by his brother, Joseph “Tom” Moseley

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 23 years, Marina Moseley; his children, Melissa (Brandon) Cullum, Joshua Cody (Vanessa) Moseley; and his cherished grandchildren, Dade Moseley, Isabella Cullum, Eleanor Cullum, Sofia Moseley, and Zack Moseley, who brought him immeasurable joy and pride.

He is also survived by his sister Betty Joe and husband Dennis Connor, sisters-in-law, Debby Bramlet and Katherine Avalos; his brother-in-law, Arnold Avalos; nieces and nephews, Sean Connor, Dawn Kubinski, Kim Moseley and Chance Moseley; along with many extended family members, dear friends, and members of the recovery community whose lives were forever enriched by his compassion and friendship.

Richard's life was a testament to perseverance, faith, and the power of helping others. The lessons he shared, the laughter he brought, and the love he gave so freely will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Visitation for Richard will be held on August 14, 2026 from 1p.m. to 1:30p.m. at Claire Brothers Funeral Home. 7901 Hillcroft Ave Houston, Tx 77081. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1:30 at Claire Brothers Funeral Home.
