Richard Gene Scalf

09-12-1959 – 11-18-2022

Richard Scalf, passed away November 18 at the age of 63 after a short illness with mesothelioma. Richard is survived by his wife Carol, children Joseph, Michael and Katie (Bryce), granddaughter Penelope Rhode Whittle, sister Nikki (Bob) and Suzanne (Ricky) along with many nieces, nephews, coworkers, neighbors, and friends who loved him. A celebration of Richard's life was held at Cypress Creek Fire Department Station 21 where Richard volunteered for 16 years. Richard worked in Building Maintenance Heating and Airconditioning most of his life but more than that he loved to cook. He cooked at the Houston Livestock show and Rodeo Cookoff as well as for the Ticketing Services Committee.  He will be remembered as an expert on a barbeque pit, crawfish pot boil or any grill but most of all for all the joy and positivity he brought to others.
