IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Richard
Severa
September 8, 1940 – August 11, 2022
Richard 'Dick' Severa passed away on August 11, 2022, in Spring, TX, at the age of 81. He was a loving son, husband, father, brother, and friend. Born on September 8, 1940, in Ashtabula, OH, the youngest son of James Anthony Severa and Mary Hewitt Severa.
After high school he moved to Clear Lake, TX to be with his sister, Teresa Lary, and study at the University of Houston. He discovered his passion for building while in Clear Lake, working with select builders for NASA astronauts. He later expanded his professional career to include Union Central Insurance, Vice President at Spring
Branch Bank, and Burroughs Machine Systems. Resuming his passion for building, he later became owner of several successful custom home and commercial building/construction companies.
Dick was not only a successful businessman, he was also a talented singer/musician, and an avid golfer with a great sense of humor. Mostly, he had a heart of gold and always put others before himself.
He is survived by his wife, Denise Severa, children (and spouses), Tracie (Antonio), Nancy, Susan (Robert), Ernie (Lauren), Cristina (Hank), eleven beautiful grandchildren, and Sister Isabelle Gray.
Family is asking in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Houston SPCA or BARC in honor of Dick's beloved 'Paw Buddies', Chelsea & Bo Severa.
