Robert Walter Harris, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2022 in The Woodlands, Texas.

Robert was born in Braman, Oklahoma to Austin Bert Harris and Lorene Kathleene Arnce.  He had three older sisters, Willa, Rose, Lily, and one younger sister, Lola.

Robert married Mary Alice Hardison in 1964 and was the father of Jimmie Harris of Wichita, Kansas and Jamie Broce of Wichita, Kansas.    In 1973, Robert moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where he would begin his truck driving career as an owner/operator and meet his life long love and partner, Joyce Evans, and become the step-father to Leland Evans, Carl Evans, and Marlo Evans.  Robert and Joyce would spend the next 48 years together.

Robert, also known to many as "Bob" and for many years known as "Bobcat" enjoyed his truck driving career, cb radios and friends, camping and fishing, and always enjoyed a good chat.

Robert is survived by his step-daughter, Marlo McManus and her husband David McManus of The Woodlands, TX, daughter Jamie Broce of Wichita, KS,  son, Jimmie Harris of Wichita, KS, many grandchildren and many great grandchildren and, in his view, the best nieces and nephews one could have.

He is preceded in death by his partner, Joyce Evans, his stepsons Leland Dee Evans and Carl DeWayne Evans; his sisters, Lilly Anderson and Rose Keeling.

Robert was a proud Vietnam veteran and will be buried at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery.  Graveside services will be held on 8/12/2022 at 2:30pm and a reception will follow to celebrate Robert and Joyce's life.
