Obituary

Robert Eugene Thompson (AKA Spleen-gene) was a New Year's Day baby.  He was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama  on January 1st 1960. Gene died and went home to be with His Lord on October 1st, 2020.  Gene proceeded in the death by his sister, Debra Bearden and by his parents, Roddie Clint and Marilyn Thompson.

Gene was an amazing artist and animator. He created Spleen-gene Animations, enjoyed creating pictures and videos in which he won several awards. He had such a great talent and his artwork brought joy to everyone.

He served in the US Navy and took great pride in being a Veteran of the United States of America.

He is survived by his family Marilyn Lozano, Danny Bearden, Beverly, Coline, Carine, Celine and Carline, great-niece and nephews; Alyssa Magallanez, DJ Bearden, Jackson and Jake Lozano and great-great nephew Kendrick Magallanez.

There will be a VA Service held on October 14th, 2020, 10:30-11:00 am. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in his honor to his church, Emmanuel Baptist Church ( www.ebcnorthhouston.com )or a Veteran organization of your choice. Gene absolutely loved his church and the people of the church took great care of him.

While his time on this earth was short he made big impacts on those in his life with his witty and funny personality. His artistic talent and spirit will live on. His faith led him to spend eternity with the Lord.
