Ronald Paul Royder, better known to those close to him as Ron, passed away in his home on Tuesday, March 24, 2020, where he was surrounded by his wife and family.
Ron was born on March 28, 1953 in Baytown, Texas. He graduated from Ross S. Sterling High School in 1972 and went on to work in the Engineering and draftsmen field for Exxon, then to GDS Engineers, and Mustang Engineering. He retired with Mustang in the fall of 2019 freeing up his time to seek other pleasures. He lived in Baytown all of his 66 years, but he had a traveling spirit that took him all over the U.S. and into Europe. Some of his true passions were camping, Dutch oven cooking with his brother, flying kites, bicycle riding with his dad, and triathlons. He loved his grandchildren whom he always went out of his way for. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Ron is preceded in death by his father, F.A. Royder, and mother, Margaret Royder. He leaves behind his wife, Carolyn Royder, children, Christy Royder, Mary Marze (and husband Brandon Marze) and Jonathan Royder, grandchildren: Ryan Royder, Margaret Maddison Marze, Gage Marze, Cash Marze, and Harper Marze.
