Ron G. Fletcher was born in Fort Worth, Texas, on March 26, 1943, to Tom Tackett Fletcher and Glena Fay Smith. He grew up in the area of Emory, Texas, later moving to Houston in early adulthood. In 1961, Ron married Jorja Kaye Davidson at age 18, and they had one daughter, Diana Lynn Fletcher Oxford, born in 1964. On January 23, 1992, Ron married Rebecca Patrice Lewis in Las Vegas, Nevada. They eventually settled in the Shepherd, Texas, area on 25 acres, and built a log home right next to daughter, Diana, and her husband, Larry, and three grandkids, Justin, Sean, and Brooke. The majority of his working life was spent at United Structures of America (USA Steel), a career that spanned 25 years. He retired from USA as Vice President of Sales & Marketing in 2015.
He married his wife, Rebecca Patrice Lewis, on January 23, 1992, in Las Vegas, Nevada. They eventually settled in the Shepherd, Texas, area on 25 acres, and built a log home right next to daughter (from previous marriage), Diana, and her husband, Larry, and three grandchildren, Justin, Sean, and Brooke.
He was preceded in death by his half-brother, Tom Vaught, his older brother, Jack Fletcher, and his youngest sister, Kay Fletcher. He is survived by his older sister, Tommie Sue Brumit, wife, Patrice, daughter, Diana (Larry) Oxford, and 3 grandchildren.
His hobbies included reading, watching Fox News, hunting, fishing, and traveling the country in his RV.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 10:00am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 1100 Southline Street, Cleveland, Texas 77327.
