Salvador (Sal) Barrera, 61, peacefully passed away on October 25,2021, surrounded by his
loving family in Houston, Tx. He was born on April 30, 1960, in Plainview, Texas to Rita Rivera &
Aurelio Rodriguez. Sal is preceded in death by his brother Raul Barrera Jr., and his Maternal
grandparents, Lupe Denbroder and Manuel Moreno.
Sal leaves behind to cherish his legacy, His parents Rita & Aurelio, his soulmate/spouse
Jeannette Barrera, 5 daughters, Amanda Delgado (Albert), Myranda Barrera, Rita Salazar, Haley
Walker, Victoria Soza; 4 sons Victor Barrera (Maria), Joaquin Barrera, Adam Barrera & Alfred
Barrera. His siblings Roger Barrera (Marlyn) & Jo A. Barrera (Gilbert). His Favorite Tia's Gloria
Martinez (Leo), Alice Ybanez, Mary Jane Perez and Uncle Ramon Moreno (Micaela). One
brother-in-law Arthur Soza Jr. (Laura), Mother/Father-in-Law, Bertha Vela & Arthur Soza Sr.
Abuelo Sal's greatest joy was his 11 grandchildren & 1 great-grandbaby.
Sal's favorite spot was on the water with a fishing pole in his hand. He loved to rave about the
fish he caught and his favorite fishing/boating spots. Sal could sit and watch Tick-Toc videos for
hours and laugh till he cried. Candy Crush, shooting pool and 7 liners were definitely his go-to
for entertainment. If the Astro's were playing, you could always count on Sal to be front and
center enjoying the game.
