Obituary

Sarah Elizabeth Hatch McCormack, 87, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2020 in The Woodlands, Texas.  She was born on November 5, 1932 in George West, Texas, and was the only child to Harry & Sarah Hatch, both of whom preceded her in death.  Sarah leaves behind her only child, LaNore Elaine Moore, three grandchildren, Christopher Gallo, Rachael Saldana, and Grace Gallo, and one great-grandchild Nicholas Gallo (son to Chris).

Sarah enjoyed spending time with family, especially her great-grandson. Traditions were important to her, even the small ones like ice cream sundaes with the grandkids during sleep-overs, feeding the swans at a local park or playing games with the family. She made it point to make you feel important and put a positive spin on things. Sarah was a talented vocalist and pianist who enjoyed singing in the church choir and playing piano with the family. She was an accomplished executive secretary in the Oil & Gas field for most of her career, and later in life she even went back to college and achieved a degree in Psychology.  She loved being creative and passed that passion down to her daughter and grandchildren.  She enjoyed dogs, travel, dancing and was a genealogy enthusiast uncovering some interesting Texas history in the family.

Funeral services will be a private family gathering at the Moore Ranch in George West,  Texas.
