Sean Earl Kornegay was born November 4 ^th , 1968 in Houston, TX to parents Earl Evans & Bobbie Gean (Smallwood) Kornegay.  He passed from this life the evening of June 21, 2020 in Katy, TX at the young age of 51 years old.  The family expresses their thanks to the staff at Mason Creek Transitional Care for their dedication to Sean's care.

He grew up in the Jacinto City area of Houston until he was seven years old, then moved to Mexia, TX to attend Mexia State School and be near his wonderful father and his paternal grandparents Early Pringle and Nora Lee (Evans) Kornegay of Mexia, TX who took amazing care of him and loved him beyond measure.  At age 18 he moved back to Houston to live with his mother Bobbie.  His maternal grandparents were Virgil Conner and Flora Marie (Everett) Smallwood of Houston, TX.

Sean was born with Downs Syndrome and was a very happy, sweet and affectionate person who never met a stranger.  He called everyone his friend and always wanted a hug or a handshake.  He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to dance, watch pro wrestling, Chuck Norris and Bruce Lee movies.

Sean is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and brother Timothy Frederick Mansker.  He is survived by brothers Jimmy and Terry Mansker, sister Sherry Mahler and spouse Edward and nephew Tristan Mahler, sister Cynthia Leininger and spouse Jon, nieces Mandy, Vanessa & Elia Rosales, his Aunt Emily Pursell, cousins David and Tammy Miller and Matthew Pursell as well as cousins Coleta Frazier Wilkerson and Mary Ann Frazier Mezzapelle.

A private memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
