Sophanna Sun, age 41, of Katy, TX, passed away on March 4, 2024 after an arduous battle with cancer with her family at her side.  Known to her family as Phanna, she lived a life full of love, laughter, and most important to her-family.

Phanna was a proud military wife for 19 years out of her 23 years of marriage.  As an Army spouse, she served many roles during her husband's assignments, but her favorite role was that of an advisor to the Family Readiness Group Leader.  She spent countless hours cooking meals for soldiers returning home from deployment, Thanksgiving and Christmas.    .

Phanna is survived by her beloved husband, Retired Army Captain Roger Sun; son, Kenneth; daughter, Summer; parents, three sisters, two brothers, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Phanna was a remarkable woman who touched the hearts of many with her caring, compassionate, and kindness.  Let us remember her for the joy she brought into this world by keeping her memory alive.
