IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Stephen Christopher
Cayden
March 9, 1967 – September 13, 2020
Stephen Christopher Cayden, 53, passed away on September 13, 2020 in The Woodlands, TX, after a two year fight with colon cancer. In his final days he was constantly surrounded by family, loved beyond description and cherished beyond belief.
Stephen was born on March 9, 1967, to Jack Nicholas Cayden and Betty Jo Wilson in Houston, Texas. He was raised by his grandparents in New Orleans before eventually moving back to Houston. Stephen worked as a Center Manager at FedEx for nearly twenty years, where he mentored and trained hundreds of coworkers and friends.
Stephen greatly enjoyed playing the guitar, which he was incredibly gifted at. At the time of his death he was working on starting his very own guitar instruction company, Concept 9 Guitar. His first love, however, was his family. He met the love of his life, Cherie, in 1988. Cherie and Stephen shared many wonderful memories throughout their 30 years together. They supported, respected, and protected each other through many triumphs and hardships, but no memories were more wonderful than the births of their first daughter, Tiffany, and their second daughter, Sarah. Stephen was an incredible father and husband. He was present for every sporting event and school function, and he made sure to remind his girls how loved they were each and every day.
Stephen is survived by his wife, Cherie Schobelock, and his daughters Tiffany Vernon (Josh), and Sarah Cayden (Zak). In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Colorectal Cancer Alliance (ccalliance.org).
