Obituary

Margaret Sylvia Pleasants McDaniel, 89, passed away on July 31, 2024 by her beloved family in
Conroe, TX. She was born on September 01, 1934 in Durham, NC to Margaret Gilchrist and
William Thomas Pleasants. Sylvia loved and cherished particularly Emerald Isle, NC and
frequently vacationed to the Carolinas.


Sylvia began her career as a secretary for Home Security Life Insurance Company in Durham,
NC before moving to Nashville, TN to live with her Aunt Louise and transferring to National Life
& Accident Insurance Company where she met who would become her husband and love of her
life, Paul Edward McDaniel, for 69 years. They later moved to Texas, had three boys that were
her absolute world. They then moved to Branson, Missouri on Table Rock Lake which she
referred to as "our little piece of heaven".  She was a wonderful grandmother to her
grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sylvia was the matriarch and glue of the McDaniel
Family.


She loved the Lord, loved her church and had a strong faith. She loved animals, birds and
hummingbirds. She was wise, respected, gave the best advice, put her family first, loved a good
shopping sale, playing cards, cruises, traveling the world, Christmas, making new friends and
entertaining. Sylvia, also known as "Ladybug" had a heart of gold and you never questioned
what was on her mind. A true Carolina girl that was so cherished by all.


She is survived by her husband Paul Edward McDaniel; sons Frank Michael McDaniel, Jeffery
Todd McDaniel, and Ronald Glen McDaniel; grandchildren Laurie Beth McDaniel Jobe, Matthew
Shane McDaniel, Morgan Leigh Hammer, Brooke Nicole McDaniel, Carson Jade McDaniel,
Sarita Cate Dawson, Aaron & Cody McDaniel.   Great grandchildren: Addison Rose, Liam
Michael, Addison Mae, Zoey Gail and Emma Rose.


At Sylvia's request, no service will be held and she requests everyone remember the great
times, her loving memory and legacy shared with her and in Lui of flowers, donate to her
beloved church in her memory : First Baptist Church Kimberling City, 161 Heavens Wy,
Kimberling City, MO 65686.


Sylvia will be deeply missed by all who know her. There was not a stranger she ever met, an
infectious laugh that you couldn't forget, her heartfelt hugs that you felt to your core. She will live
on in the hearts of her family and friends. She will never be forgotten and there will never be
another Sylvia, Ladybug or Grandma.
