Thomas Alan Cook
November 23, 1964 – November 13, 2021
Thomas A. Cook passed away peacefully on November 13th, 2021,
at 10:34 am after a valiant two-year battle with Pancreatic Cancer
at home in Conroe, Texas. He was 56 years old, ten days short of
57. He was born in Wayne, MI to Richard and Darlene Cook.
He was very active in his lifetime, loved being involved, teaching,
sharing, and caring:
• President of the South Lyon, MI Jaycees, Tom served on numerous committees, created the
one-of-a-kind soundtrack for their Annual Haunted House and won best haunted attraction in
the state a few times. One of his other committees that he helped on and enjoyed was for the
Amber Alert System.
• He was a coach for a youth football league in Whitmore Lake and started the same league in
Morrice.
• A lifelong Scout, currently a Scoutmaster with Troop 351 of Montgomery, Texas
• A member of the MCUSBC - Montgomery County USBC - Silver Bowling Academy Coach in
Time to Spare Bowling Alley in Conroe, Texas. Held Bowling Clinics every month featuring a
specific skill or technique.
• Started the Montgomery High School Bowling Team and has been the Coach since.
• Currently co-owner of the Bowl Pin Pro Shop in the Time to Spare Bowling Alley in Conroe,
Texas.
• He was a black belt.
• Played guitar in multiple bands and played at Harpo's in Detroit in the 1980's. as well as a DJ
for multiple events.
• Has helped friends and family in many ways - helping them move, helping to renovate a
home, but most importantly by listening and giving advice when needed.
• Has held many fundraisers for the Veterans and children going through tough times.
• Loves nature, and animals especially his doxy "Red", is a Christian and very spiritual.
He is survived by his loving wife Veronica "Vicky" Cook after 21 years of marriage. Brother Phil
(Stacy) Cook of Wolverine Lake, stepbrother Louis (Dawn) Marrow of Howell Mi, Half-brother,
William Marrow of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Stepfather, William Marrow of Howell.
Children: Jeremy Thomas (Caylin) Cook of Clarkston, MI. Stepdaughters Serena Clair (Keith Hough) of
Farmington, MI, and Desiree (Benjamin) Cook of Ann Arbor, MI and Stepson Devin Clair of Conroe, Texas.
Grandchildren – Cody, Estella, Alexander, Zenos, Chase, Vivienne, Oliver, Olivia, Beatrice, Niels, Adaline, Ameila, Clementine and Caroline Foster son Ethan Slagle of Gaines, MI, many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his Father Richard Cook and Mother Darlene (Donaldson)
Marrow. He worked at GTech USA as a Programmer - CAD Engineer.
Tom is to be cremated by Graceful Memorial Chapel. For those who wants to send funds

There will be a memorial service on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, November 27 th at the
Walden Community Church located at 12400 Walden Rd, Montgomery, TX 77356, at 12 noon to
4 pm in the afternoon.
There will be a memorial for the Michigan family and friends in the Summer of 2022. Place and
time to be determined.
Tom spoke softly, had a heart of gold, put his heart in everything he did, fought with passion,
loved deeply, had hope, faith grace, patience and let trouble fall from his back like water
falling off a duck's back and is now an angel, playing in God's band…. Fly high and Rock on
Tom, you will be missed but always in our memories, prayers and heart!
