Obituary

Timothy J. Brooks was born January 3, 1943 in Akron, Ohio. Tim joined his Lord and Savior on
November 2, 2022. It was on this same day that Tim celebrated his 32nd year of sobriety living
the life God intended him to live.
Tim moved to the Houston area as a young child and considered Texas to be his home. After
graduating from. Waltrip High School, he served in The United States Air Force specializing in
communications. After military service, Tim remained in communications; retiring from ATT /
Lucent.
Tim had a real passion for music. He worked as a DJ in the 70's and 80's earning him the name
'Disco Tim' from many who knew him.
Tim loved cars, gadgets, fishing, sports, travel, shopping, and his precious dog Lucy. She was
never far from his side, much like Serenity, his beloved dog of nearly 18 years.
Above all, Tim loved and served God. He was committed to sharing the message of Hope and
helping so many others in recovery.
Tim leaves behind his loving wife Peggy, Aunt Catherine, brother Dennis, and children David
(Maritza) and Cathy; many friends & family. He especially took great delight in his grandchildren
Chris (Aliza), Josh (Eden), Jack, Brett, Brooklynn, Ellie, Juniper, and Henry.
Preceding him in death are his parents Fred & Mary and beloved Grandson Jake Brooks.
Tim's wisdom, guidance, kindness, and laughter will be greatly missed by many.
