Veronica Michelle Williams, age 42 of Katy, Tx
After a 25+ long years struggle with Lupus SLE, Veronica succumbed on Monday, August 30, 2021 due to complications that arose out of that disabling disease.
After working as a medical assistant for 8 years while also completing her Associate's degree from the University of Houston, Veronica graduated Valedictorian from MedVance Institute of Nursing in 2010 and worked for 10 years in nursing before the progression of the disease totally disabled her ability to work. With a passion for helping others, Veronica loved her nursing profession and during her work-life served as field staff in multiple medical offices and hospitals, a visiting nurse in home health, a charge nurse in Nursing and Rehabilitation Centers.
Survived by son Taylor Keith Williams, parents Ernest Jearl Pennington and Elizabeth Ellis Pennington, sister Jennifer Pennington Cabrera and her husband Ernesto Cabrera, nephew Aaron Duesterburg, niece Sarah Cabrera, nephew Matthew Cabrera, Uncle and Aunt Fred and Pam Eliis, cousins Rick and Rob Ellis, numerous great nieces and nephews, numerous 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th cousins. Veronica was predeceased by paternal grandparents Wesley Douglas and Ada Bell Pennington, maternal grandparents Fred Doc and Marie Elizabeth (Simpson) Eliis.
