Ginny grew up in NJ, NY, and OH as their family moved with her father's employer, DuPont de Nemours (Chemical Company).  While living in Bronxville, NY, Ginny attended The Masters School, a private, all-girls day/boarding school in Dobbs Ferry, NY.  There she studied English, French, Latin, music, art, the Bible, moral philosophy, astronomy, botany, mathematics, domestic science, and etiquette.  She further participated in the Mission Society, the Dobbs Athletic Association, Glee Club, and Phoenix (acting society).  Upon graduation, Ginny attended Elmira College, a 4 year Liberal Arts college for women, in Elmira, (Southcentral) NY.

After college, Ginny worked in New York City for Exxon, Aramco, and began honing her love of homes working at The Ladies Home Journal.  While at The Ladies Home Journal, she contributed to home design, decoration and other quality fiction and non-fiction articles for women, including many important social causes.  While in New York City, Ginny attended a Valentines Day dance at the Plaza Hotel, where she met and later married her late husband, Robert T. Macaul.

Ginny was a devoted wife, mother, homemaker, and entertainer, also subsequently lived in Short Hills, NJ, Minneapolis, MN, and Pittsburgh, PA.  She was an excellent chef, who also had a near perfect golf swing. She loved her family, her friends, and always found a way to make each one of them feel special.

Ginny was active playing golf and paddle tennis around Pittsburgh & St. Clair Country Club, various Book Clubs, and volunteered her time to many worthy causes, including Westminster Presbyterian Church, The Junior League (esp. Designers' Showhouse), Allegheny County (Election Officer – often on her Birthday), and fund-raising for the Arts.

She was an amazing Mother, always patient but persistent, kind, respectful, strong, empathetic, supportive, resourceful, and especially loving.

After raising their children, Ginny enjoyed working as a real estate agent in the South Hills of Pittsburgh, for almost 30 years.

Ginny is survived by son Barclay, and his children Charlie and Robert of Houston, TX , Virginia Sable of Houston, TX, and her daughter Virginia of Los Angeles, CA, and Pamela Gales and husband Christopher Gales, and their children Maxwell and Ian of Houston, TX.
