Obituary

Walter Ken Warren, 76, of Spring, Texas passed on from this Earth into the loving arms of Jesus on September 15th, 2020.  We are so thankful he was in the comfort of his own home surrounded by his loving family.
Ken was born on June 28th, 1945 in Los Angeles, California. When he was 2, he moved to La Canada Flintridge, California. He had a blessed life there living with his parents, Walter and Ruth Warren, and his two cherished sisters, Wendy and Georgia.  Growing up, he had a deep love for playing baseball and was a starting pitcher on his high school baseball team. Going to Dodgers games, hunting and fishing were all his favorite pasttimes, all of which he enjoyed with his father close by his side.
In high school, Ken began working for his dad at the family business, Warren Automotive. While attending Pasadena City College, he met the love of his life, Carolyn. Shortly thereafter, he joined the Naval reserves because of the Vietnam War. Ken and Carolyn were married November 26th,1966 just before Ken went into basic training. They fondly remember their honeymoon stenciling his name on all his belongings.
After completing his Naval service, Ken joined Warren Automotive, where he worked continuing on in the family business eventually inheriting the business from his parents.
Ken dedicated his life to Jesus and was baptized on March 20, 2000 at the age of 56.
Ken was the ultimate family man, spending time with his wife, three daughters, and grandchildren whenever he could. This love and commitment to family was the impetus behind the decision to move to Texas in 2015. He wanted to be close to children and grandchildren who had already relocated there. Over the last five years, Ken was surrounded by the love of his family and spent as much time fishing as possible.
Ken is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Carolyn (Myers) Warren, his daughter, Mary Savarino and her husband, Angelo Savarino of Magnolia, Tx, his daughter, Michelle England of Spring Tx, and his daughter, Jennifer Cook and her husband Peter Cook of Spring, Tx. Three grandchildren, Braydon England and Isaac and Sarah Cook. His sisters, Wendy Nicoll and Georgia Dillon of La Canada as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Ruth (Crispin) Warren.
